Seasonal Healthcare

Prior to the passage of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, the Association of National Park Rangers (ANPR) offered a healthcare plan to its members, targeted at seasonal rangers. At the time, seasonals had no method of obtaining coverage directly through the National Park Service. Following the Act's passage, ANPR discontinued this offering as seasonals gained access to a far greater number of options through the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program.

ANPR remains committed to promoting Rangers' access to applicable healthcare options.

Who is Eligible

Seasonals who expect their appointment to run for a minimum of 90 days, working a minimum of 130 hours per month are eligible to enroll in the FEHB Program.

Note: Employees on temporary appointments are not eligible for dental & vision plans.
