Disaster Relief fund can help members affected by hurricanes and flooding

Oct. 10, 2024 — The Association of National Park Rangers created a Natural Disaster Relief Fund in early 2023 to help those affected by the increasing numbers of natural disasters occurring in the country and the world. Last year, fires in Maui  nearly wiped out the town of Lahaina and were responsible for the deaths of more than 100 individuals. Most recently, Huricanes Helene and Milton wreaked havoc on the East Coast, with hundreds dead, homes lost and families separated.  The Natural Disaster Relief Fund is a member benefit available to any ANPR member in good standing.

This is also an opportunity for all ANPR members to help grow the fund. Our ANPR members live and work in these affected areas; let's remind them that ANPR can help. To donate, click here and fill in the desired amount under "Natural Disaster Relief." For information on applying for Natural Disaster relief, contact ANPR Executive Director Bill Wade at bwade@anpr.org, or Board Member for Membership Services' Shannon Wilson, swilson@anpr.org.
