Dear ANPR Members and Friends:

Yesterday, the ANPR Board of Directors was saddened to receive the resignation of its elected president, Ken Mabery. Those of you who know Ken are well aware of his dedication to the highest standards of national park stewardship. His passion, vision and leadership will be missed by ANPR.

If you would like to thank Ken for his ANPR service or contact him on any other topic, please feel free to send a message to him at his personal e-mail address. Please do not use his government address. If you do not have Ken's personal e-mail address, then feel free to send your message to me and I will happily forward it to him.

Please watch for further information from the ANPR Board of Directors by e-mail or on this website.

Regards,

Jeff McFarland, ANPR Executive Director

Board chooses new president
During a teleconference board meeting June 17, 2004, the ANPR Board of Directors appointed President-Elect Lee Werst to the vacated presidency. Werst, who is chief of interpretation at Timpanogos Cave, was elected by members earlier this year to assume the presidency Jan. 1, 2005. Now he steps into the post a few months early. More communication from the board will follow soon.
