ANPR's health insurance plan available to all ANPR members, including (but not limited to) seasonal park workers, fire crew members, volunteers, park partners and others who don’t receive insurance benefits through their employers. In addition, coverage is possible for spouses and family of ANPR members.

The Aetna PPO Affordable Health Choices (SM) is open to any ANPR member. Coverage will be effective on the first day of the month following your enrollment. (For instance, if you sign up and send in your payment anytime by the end of a month, coverage can begin the first of the next month.) The coverage is a limited accident and sickness insurance plan. A member will have access to the Aetna network of health care professionals, about 735,000 nationwide.

Here are other features of the plan:

• Affordable rate of $83.52/month for individuals ($208.68 monthly for member + 1; $298.88 monthly for family), and must be paid in advance for a six-month or 12-month period, to ANPR.

  Also, ANPR is assessing an additional $12 per six-month period to cover our administrative costs of this program. For single coverage, your check should be $501.12 + $12 = $513.12 for a six-month period. (Total for member + 1 is $1,264.08, total for family is $1,805.28.) Please make your check payable to ANPR. ANPR annual membership, either individual or joint, is in addition to the above totals.

• Five doctor’s office visits annually, copayment of $10 per visit; emergency room benefits
• Maximum coverage annually of $10,000 for inpatient care
• Prescription drug coverage ($10 copayment for generic, $20 for brand)
• Wellness coverage for preventive care
• Eyewear discounts

The health insurance can continue year-round as long as the plan is paid in advance and the enrollee remains an ANPR member.
