ANPR is holding a Fall Fund Campaign once again this year. We appreciate any amount you can give to help support the mission and goals of the Association of National Park Rangers in 2012. Your donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law, and we will send you an acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.
Many nonprofit groups rely on an annual fund campaign as a stable part of their fund-raising efforts. We hope to exceed the total from last year’s Fall Fund Campaign in which members generously donated nearly $8,000.
ANPR is a nearly all-volunteer group, but operating funds were needed this year for such projects as:
- protecting the fundamental purpose of the National Park Service by providing testimony to Congress.
- publishing four issues of the professional Ranger magazine.
- organizing a strong annual professional conference and Ranger Rendezvous for the Oct. 10-14 gathering in Williamsburg, Virginia (see).
- administering membership services, including the popular health insurance benefits program for seasonal workers and other parks associates.
Other highlights: Our membership has grown to more than 1,100 people in 2011. Once again, we are awarding several scholarships (thanks to the Bill Supernaugh Memorial Fund) from a large pool of applicants to attend their first Rendezvous (see).
