ANPR has published "Live the Adventure: Join the National Park Service" as a guide to becoming a park ranger with the National Park Service. The booklet gives general information on the park ranger and related fields; types of appointments and hiring authorities used by the NPS to fill vacancies; and tips about preparing for a career in the NPS, such as which courses to take in high school, and which college majors are preferred.
